25 years of sowing ideas: our Corporate Social Responsibility in 2025

2025 has been a particularly significant year for Ideas Medioambientales. Coinciding with our 25th anniversary, we have closed a year that clearly reflects a journey begun in 1999 and sustained over time thanks to a firm social, environmental, and regional commitment.

Last October, we held the 25th-anniversary galaat the Teatro Circo in Albacete, a gathering that brought together our team, institutions, partner companies, associations, family, and friends. Under the theme “25 years of sowing ideas”, the gala symbolized something that runs through our entire history: Corporate Social Responsibility is not a one-off action, but part of the DNA of Ideas Medioambientales.

That same spirit has guided the CSR actions carried out throughout 2025, which we present below, linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our commitment to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals

At Ideas Medioambientales, we believe that social responsibility goes beyond words. Throughout 2025, this commitment has materialized into concrete actions, developed together with associations, government bodies, and community groups, with the aim of generating a real positive impact on people, the region, and the environment. We invite you to learn more about them below.

People at the center: health, well-being, and social support (SDG 3)

Caring for people's health and well-being has been a central pillar of our Corporate Social Responsibility in 2025, both inside and outside the organization. At Ideas Medioambientales, we understand that there can be no sustainability without people who are cared for, supported, and have access to basic resources and a dignified life.

Throughout the year, we have collaborated with numerous social and health organizations that carry out essential work in providing care, support, and assistance to vulnerable groups. Among them are AFANION, AECC, Cáritas, Red Cross, Food Bank, Action Against Hunger, Doctors Without Borders, the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, the Perpetuo Socorro Hospital, Oxfam Intermón —especially in the context of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza— and Amigos de Malí and Ruta Inti, as well as initiatives providing direct support to people affected by conflicts and emergency situations.

In particular, in 2025 we were the main sponsors of the AFANION 30th anniversary gala, a benchmark charity event in Castilla-La Mancha that raises awareness about the reality faced by families with children suffering from cancer and helps fund psychological, social, and care support programs.

Promoting physical and emotional well-being has also been channeled through sports as a social tool, supporting organizations and clubs such as Metasport CLM, Club Deportivo Servitenis, Club Triatlón Albacete, Club Natación Albacete and Albacete Swim, as well as charity races and sporting events in various municipalities.

Internally, we have developed various initiatives focused on team well-being, most notably the 3rd Environmental and Occupational Health Conference, a dedicated space for training and reflection that integrates risk prevention and emotional well-being, reinforcing our commitment to safe and healthy work environments.

Shared knowledge and training to transform territories (SDG 4)

In 2025, we strengthened our collaboration with the university and educational sector through the creation of the Ideas Medioambientales–University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) Classroom, a cooperative space focused on training, outreach, and knowledge transfer within the framework of energy transition and decarbonization.

Through this Classroom, we develop activities focused on outreach and training in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and new energy vectors such as green hydrogen, as well as knowledge transfer to the productive sector and the promotion of young talent, facilitating training and employability for students in emerging sectors.

This commitment is complemented by the signing of a collaboration agreement with the CIFP de Aguas Nuevas, and participation in technical seminars such as the one on Hydrology at the Higher Technical School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering and Biotechnology (ETSIAMB) or participation in and support for the University of Castilla-La Mancha during the summer course held following the DANA storm in the town of Letur, focusing on territorial analysis, risk management, and resilience.

We also highlight numerous educational and outreach initiatives at centers and organizations such as the IES Bachiller Sabuco (environmental education workshops), the Bonete City Council (outreach talks on archaeological heritage), the Aýna City Council (educational activities related to heritage – Cueva del Niño), the Convento de Santa María del Campo Rus (Cuenca) (environmental education workshop focused on local biodiversity and birdlife), and the educational workshop linked to a BioBlitz in Almería, aimed at identifying biodiversity and fostering active participation in citizen science.

A well-supported team and quality employment (SDG 8)

In 2025, we continued to promote measures aimed at improving the quality of employment, internal cohesion, and team recognition.

These actions include team building activities held throughout the year (fair lunch, San Juan, Christmas, or cultural events), the staff incentive and recognition system, as well as internal initiatives linked to the celebration of our 25th anniversary.

Equality and diversity as cross-cutting values (SDG 10)

Our commitment to equality and equity was strengthened in 2025 with the attainment of the Equality Certificate from the Provincial Equality Observatory (OPI) and the Equality Badge awarded by ADECA, recognitions that validate our work in terms of equal opportunities, work-life balance, and respect.

This commitment is complemented by training and awareness-raising actions aimed at all staff, especially regarding the prevention of harassment and sexual violence in the workplace.

Territory, culture, and community: local development (SDG 11)

Our connection to the region and support for local initiatives have been a constant throughout 2025.

Key actions include our collaboration with Aula Verde on monitoring the Muralla Viva de Chinchillaproject, support for local associations such as Los Cárabos de Letur, participation in municipal festivals and programs in towns like Aýna, Cañada de Agra , or Horna, as well as partnerships with cultural and social organizations such as the Fundación El Sembrador and support for sustainable local development initiatives, such as the “La Encalá” bioclimatic rural houseproject, which focuses on an accommodation model that respects the environment and rural life.

We have also supported cultural, educational, and heritage initiatives linked to archaeology and history, such as projects in Bonete (outreach activities regarding the archaeological discovery and its historical context), Yeste (technical assessment of the conservation status of the Los Picos site), Cuenca (participation in outreach conferences on Romanization processes) Cueva del Niño in Aýna (educational and awareness-raising actions regarding archaeological heritage), strengthening the connection between sustainability, culture, and the local area.

‍Taking action against climate change and protecting biodiversity (SDGs 13 and 15)

Climate action has been a part of our CSR through initiatives linked to calculating and reducing the carbon footprint of cultural and social events, such as the Leturalma Festival or the Ciudad Real Song Festival, in collaboration with organizations such as Scouts CLM – ASDE.

These actions complement our daily work supporting entities and organizations in measuring, reducing, and offsetting their carbon footprint.

At the same time, biodiversity conservation has remained one of the pillars of our CSR for another year. In 2025, we launched amphibian conservation initiatives in collaboration with the Villena City Council and the Community of Madrid, focusing on habitat improvement and the protection of breeding sites.

Additionally, we have carried out numerous outreach and conservation initiatives for bats, most notably the BatNight in Cantabria events (educational and awareness-raising sessions on the ecological importance of bats), the publication of an educational guide on bats aimed at both the general public and technical audiences, and the completion of a bat study on the island of Gran Canaria, aimed at understanding and monitoring their populations.

We have also maintained our collaboration with organizations such as WWF/Adena and the Platform for the Defense of Livestock Trails.

Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17)

All actions carried out throughout 2025 were made possible through joint efforts with associations, social organizations, public administrations, universities, and professional groups, all united by the conviction that collaboration is key to addressing today's environmental and social challenges.

Additionally, Ideas Medioambientales participates as an affiliated entity in the Knowledge section of the Spanish Business and Biodiversity Initiative, promoted by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), contributing to knowledge exchange and the integration of biodiversity into business activity.

In addition, in 2025 we participated in conferences, technical workshops, and sector forums that have helped strengthen alliances and share knowledge, such as the AVAESEN Congress, the UNEF Workshops and the IUCN Forum, GreenA, ExpoAire Córdoba, technical meetings organized by the UCLM and the ETSIAMB, workshops on renewable energy and energy transition, as well as business forums promoted by FEDA and other stakeholders in the regional economic fabric.

Closing out 2025: continuing to sow the seeds

Closing out 2025, a year marked by our 25th anniversary, is a great opportunity to pause and look back at the path we have traveled. A path built alongside many people, organizations, and regions, and based on a way of doing things with responsibility and consistency.

We want to keep moving forward with the same approach that has brought us this far: through closeness, commitment, and respect for our surroundings. Because sustainability is built day by day, project by project, and "with many hands."
