What an Environmental Monitoring Plan is

An Environmental Monitoring Plan (in Spain, Plan de Vigilancia Ambiental or PVA) is the document that establishes the system for monitoring compliance with the preventive, corrective and compensatory measures defined in the Environmental Impact Study, during the construction, operation and, where applicable, decommissioning phases of a project. It is a mandatory minimum content of the Environmental Impact Study under Annex VI of Spanish Law 21/2013, and forms the basis on which environmental monitoring is carried out throughout the project's working life.

What a monitoring plan must include
