Glare analysis for the 9.9 MWac Flandes Solar Photovoltaic Plant

Ideas Medioambientales conducted the glare study for the Flandes Solar Photovoltaic Plant, a 9.9 MWac facility located in the Tolima department (Colombia) and developed by Grenergy. The work used specialized software to analyze the potential impact of solar reflections from the photovoltaic modules on the approach, takeoff, and operational flight paths of the Flandes Rotary Wing Training Field. The study evaluated various operational scenarios, modeling the facility's geometry and helicopter flight corridors to ensure operational safety. The results concluded that the project is compatible with the base's aeronautical activity, with no significant impacts identified during standard operating hours.
